We have successfully repaired older 7000 series spools (older 3 peice spools) with fantastic results. The problem we were seeing is spools unscrewing under pressure. The spool would actually become wider from unscrewing itself and then jam the reel up. We offer a lifetime solution for this issue. Your spool will be checked and trued for straightness and runout, thread lock applied to threaded spool arbor, pins added through entire body and shaft to ensure a positive lock, and hardened steel pins inserted to lock the parts together. For this repair, we will require you to bring or send your spool to us.
