Hardy Longstone Spool Repair

This old Hardy Longstone came to us in a collection of reels to be refurbished. This was by far the worst one in the collection as most of the spool had corroded and broken away. All that was left of it was basically the outer face!We made up an entire rear portion of the spool and affixed it to the front part. The repair is seamless and virtually undetectable, not to mention is incredibly strong! The fillet (corner) of the rear of the spool where the back meets the arbor was gently curved and machined thicker to take higher stresses from line and corrosion.
