We have made these battery holders even better! Glue has been added to both the battery pack side and plug side to hold the very small wires in place. This strengthens the connections greatly.

This product has been discontinued by Humminbird but we have custom made these to keep you fishin! Our new version has a longer plug wire that makes it easier to plug into that small space under the cap. We have added a bit of di-electric grease to the plug to aid in fighting corrosion, and twisted the wires to fight electrical noise and make the unit stronger. This is a plug and play item and fits exactly like the original...only better!
*may come with a white or black color plug, depending on stock...same thing just different color :)

1) Remove the sounder
2) Remove foam insert
3) Plug in battery pack (with batteries installed)
4) Place holder in foam insert with wires pointing into base
5) Tuck wires underneath and place insert with holder into the base
6) Nice and clean install. Now the wires cannot get caught when the top is screwed back on!

Humminbird Fishin Buddy Battery Pack FB BP - 6 'AA' Older Style
For once, I feel good about purchasing a replacement for the Hummingbird battery pack. This is made much better than the original which had flimsy and poorly placed wires, a formula for product failure. Well worth the cost.

Mike's modification with a longer wire and more secure connection makes it an improvement not just a replacement.

Pricey, but it fixed the finder
Thought my Fishing Buddy was shot,but gave this a try. Just what I needed. Kind of pricey for what it is, but it worked.
