Product Description
Replacement clamp screw kit for Minn Kota trolling motors.
This is an aftermarket upgrade for your motor. Made from zinc plated steel rods, these clamp kits use the stock Minn Kota clamp washer # 2011710 so you can continue to replace the individual parts if they wear out or get damaged. Fits transoms from 1 1/2" to 3 1/4" thick.
This kit is a direct replacement of Minn Kota #2881380
To install, remove the old clamp screws on your mount by cutting them off. Screw in the new ones and add the washer and screw...done!
Tools needed:
- Hacksaw or other to cut old screws off
- 4mm allen wrench (hex key) to tighten new washer retaining screw
NOTE: This kit may come with a knob style slightly different, depending on stock.

great idea, poor implementation
Pros: - They exist and are available in Canada - Better design than the originals Cons: - The thread on the screws doesn't really match the thread on the motor bracket. They fit really tight, and the dig in the old thread. I got them in the first time and they worked, but I later took them out and that was the end of the bracket threads. Now I'm using wing nuts, but this requires an extra hand. - The screws that keep the clamps in place are too short and tighten the clamps so they won't spin free. The result is they come unscrewed when you tighten them onto the mount. I replaced them with longer ones which when tightened allow the clamps to spin freely. Admin - are you sure it was a Minn Kota clamp? The screw thread is exactly the same so I am wondering if the threads in your mount are buggered?
