This genuine OEM component (also known as the Side Plate or Side Cover) is the precision-machined housing plate that seals the gear box of your reel. It provides the crucial mounting point for the main gear support bearing and ensures your internal drive train stays perfectly aligned under the massive drag loads the Offshore series is famous for.
If your current side plate has suffered from saltwater corrosion, impact damage, or stripped screw threads, replacing it is vital to prevent gear misalignment and internal contamination.
